William Evertson: Mythologies recognizes the work of CCP member, William Evertson, who received the award for Best in Show from the 2019 iteration of CCP’s Annual Members’ Exhibition. William’s woodcut prints carry with them narratives of love, greed, hubris, and the fatally flawed across cultures and time. These stories inform the mythology and folklore that inspire his work – by recognizing repetitive patterns from the past and reinterpreting them in art with an aim to giving a new voice to familiar tales.
