Artist Demo: Discover Wagner Collagraph Wax with Elise Wagner

Join acclaimed artist, educator, and printmaker Elise Wagner for a special Process & Product Demo exploring Wagner Collagraph Wax, her innovative encaustic medium developed specifically for collagraph printmaking.

Wagner will introduce the ideas and techniques behind Wagner Collagraph Wax and demonstrate how this unique wax-based medium can be used to create richly textured printing plates through carving, mark-making, layering, and embossing. Attendees will have the opportunity to see her process firsthand, learn about the material qualities that make Wagner Collagraph Wax unique, and discover how encaustic painting and printmaking can intersect in exciting new ways.

Based in Astoria, Oregon, Wagner has spent more than two decades exploring the relationship between painting and printmaking. Her work and teaching have taken her throughout the United States and internationally, and she has presented her innovative wax collagraph process at conferences including Southern Graphics Council International and the International Encaustic Conference.
