Of the Moment includes prints by CCP’s member artists representing where they are in their printmaking practice at the current moment in time. The intention is for the prints to demonstrate the themes, processes, and/or subject matter each artist is currently working through as a showcase for the variety and originality of each artist’s vision within printmaking. Whether it is vibrant, quiet, graphic, representative, abstract, traditional, conceptual, subtle, bold, playful, or serious, the exhibition celebrates the depth and breadth of our artist members and the many facets of the CCP artist community. Amy Smith-Stewart, Chief Curator at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum will juried the submissions and selected award winners during our opening reception on Sunday, December 11th. Her current curatorial project is 52 Artists: A Feminist Milestone (co-curated). It revisits the historic exhibition, Twenty Six Contemporary Women Artists, curated by Lucy R. Lippard in 1971 and joins it with a new roster of twenty-six female-identifying and nonbinary emerging artists to track the evolution of feminist art practices over half a century.
