The Center for Contemporary Printmaking is delighted to announce the 14th Biennial International Miniature Print Exhibition. This juried competition and exhibition, limited to works that are no more than four square inches (25.8 square cm), encourages artists to explore the miniature print format and provides them with an opportunity for exhibition. This year, CCP received 621 prints from 274 artists with works arriving from 18 countries, including representation by artists in 27 states, and this year’s juror, Ksenia Nouril, Gallery Director at the Art Students League of New York, selected 217 works by 170 artists representing 16 countries and 25 states. In response to the submissions she reviewed, Nouril stated, “The sheer depth and breadth of techniques represented in this exhibition – from straightforward etching and reliefs to a mix of everything in between, including even a few digitally-based works – are a testament to the multifarious state of printmaking today.”

Since its inception in 1997, the competition has attracted entries by more than 1500 artists from around the world and across the U.S.A. The International Miniature Print Competition is held every other year, alternating with CCP’s other biennial, FOOTPRINT International (for prints measuring exactly 12 x 12 in. square).
