Studio Rental

One of the key ways we support Printmakers is by providing the space and equipment needed for them to create their artwork. Our studios can accommodate the entire spectrum of fine art printmaking including intaglio, lithography, monotype, silkscreen, woodblock and relief printing.

• Upstairs Studio – our largest room with multiple artist workstations and three etching presses.
• Screen Printing – one of the upstairs studio workstations can be reserved specifically for screen printing. It has easy access to a washout booth and a darkroom for screen coating and exposure.
• Downstairs Etching Studio – this smaller studio has an OSHA-compliant acid bath room, ventilation, and hot plate specifically designed for intaglio processes. It has artist workstations, and two etching presses.
• Downstairs Lithography Studio – this open workroom can accommodate both stone lithography and plate lithography. It contains one large motorized Griffin lithography press.
• The Helen Frankenthaler Printmaking Cottage – this private detached studio is a printmakers dream. Separate rental rates apply.

Rates

Hourly rental: $15
Day rate (6-8 hours): $90
Helen Frankenthaler Printmaking Cottage: $250 per day

Annual Studio Rental Packages:
50 Hours: $600
100 Hours: $1000
Unlimited Hours: $2000 (includes a studio storage bin and flat file drawer)

All Studio Rental Package hours must be used within 12 months from the purchase date, and cannot be transferred to, or shared with other artists.

Studio Hours

The Center is open Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm, and Sundays 12pm to 5pm.

Late Tuesdays: Extended hours with a monitor are offered on Tuesday Evenings, 6-9PM. Studio rental rate is $30 for all three hours.

These hours are subject to change. Studio rental is not available on Mondays, when a workshop is in session, during holidays when the Center is closed, or during MONOTHON Print Week.

Studio time must be scheduled in advance, during office hours (M-F, 9-5). Studio space is available on a first come, first serve basis.
