"I’ve always been inspired by the natural world. My most recent work explores real and imagined places through the unique lens of monotype printmaking. I strive to create a feeling of calmness and serenity in my treatment of the landscape, reflecting my reverence for nature. In a world that assaults our senses in myriad ways every day, these works provide a peaceful and safe haven.
I also have a strong interest in geometric abstraction, where color and composition matter most. Although not literal depictions, these works evoke varied locales simply by the colors I choose or the patterns that emerge - windowed buildings and urban alleys, flowering hillsides or foggy coastlines. My goal is simply to create evocative, compelling compositions that resonate with viewers on a personal level."
