CHRISTOPHER SHORE is the Staff Master Printer at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk, CT.  He received his MFA in printmaking from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Chris has studied printmaking techniques in Venice and Florence, Italy and has shown his work internationally. His work explores many types of traditional and non-traditional printmaking techniques.

Participants should bring if they have:

-Various pencils, pens, writing implements and mark making tools

Ball point pen, hard pencils, soft pencils, combs, stylus, etc…

-Western papers such as Arnhem, Rives BFK, Arches Heavy Weight paper and thin asian papers such as Hosho or Kitikata

-Source materials: photographs, drawings, etc that could be copied or used as inspiration for prints

CCP will provide:

-Plexiglass plates

-Masking tape, painters tape or artists tape

-Newsprint

-Various pencils, pens, writing implements and mark making tools

Ball point pen, hard pencils, soft pencils, combs, stylus, etc…

-Brayers / ink rollers 

-Akua Intaglio inks

-Akua Intaglio Mag Mix

-Oil based printing inks (Etching, Litho, Relief)

-Magnesium Carbonate

-Glass or plexiglas for rolling out ink on
