Participants in this workshop will explore photopolymer plate-making and printing. The workshop begins with hand-drawn films and other film positives, then exposure and plate-making, and finally exploring all the printing possibilities with these flexible and versatile plates. Participants will gain a working knowledge of the process and be able to create multiple plates in this intensive workshop. The process is essentially non-toxic and accessible to artists working in different modes of expression from hand drawn, monotype, photographic, or digitally based imagery.

CHRISTOPHER SHORE received his MFA in printmaking from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. He has studied printmaking in Venice and Florence. His work explores many traditional and non-traditional printmaking techniques and has been exhibited internationally. Chris is the Staff Master Printer at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking.
