ONLINE WORKSHOP TAKING PLACE ON ZOOM
Pronto polyester plates are a great way to work photographic elements into monotypes or small editions. In this relaxed two-day workshop, instructor Liz Bannish will lead participants through the creation of a photo-based lithographic prints using pronto plates and ordinary copy machines. Participants will learn the steps of image capture and editing, lithographic chemistry and concepts, and printing the final image either by hand or by press.
This online workshop meets in two sessions. The first session on August 31st will cover the creation of the plate using Photoshop and a laser printer. The second session on September 2nd will cover printing. Participation can be flexible; students are encouraged, but not required, to follow along outside of class. A suggested materials list with vendor information will be supplied within appropriate time to place orders if desired. These sessions will include live demonstrations and an opportunity for Q&A.
All levels of experience are welcome, but those with some experience with Photoshop and printmaking will find this the most helpful. Those who sign up for the workshop will be given a pro-rated rate on private one-on-one consultations with Liz, if further support and instruction is desired.
Please note, this is a 2 part class, taking place on 2 different days via ZOOM.
