**NOTICE**- DATE CHANGED FROM THE 17th TO THE 24th

This Figure Session is part of our annually scheduled MONOTHON fundraiser. Scheduled as an Additional Monothon Activity, this workshop will include the same materials as a MONOTHON session. Up to 10 sheets of high-quality paper, inks, knives, palettes, plates, rollers, brushes, solvents, paper towels, and other miscellaneous materials will be provided. Along with working from a live model, participants will also have access to the expertise and assistance of a Master Printer. Of the prints created during this workshop, one will be chosen from each artist to be included in our MONOTHON Auction.

Join us for CCP’s Figure and the Monotype: MONOTHON Session, in which participants will emulate the process of Degas by studying and printing from a model. Nomi Silverman, artist and printmaker, will assist participants in creating monotypes from life. Explore the versatile nature of monotype by printing and reworking ghost impressions to achieve depth of color and composition. Oil and water based printing are welcome.

This is an in-person  workshop that will be taking place on the second floor studio at CCP. To facilitate the safety of the participants, model, instructor, and studio monitor, we will follow a set of protocols designed to ensure the health and wellbeing of CCP’s staff and community consistent with the organization’s COVID efforts as follows:

  1. The day before the workshop, each participant will receive a link to CCP’s virtual COVID-19 Policy Comprehension Contract. The completed contract will be required to attend any in-person programming at CCP.
  2. The day of the workshop, a member of CCP staff will review our safety guidelines and sanitation procedures for the studio.
  3. To maintain and promote social distancing, the class will be limited to 4 participants, and the model stand will remain on the opposite side of the room.
  4. Windows and emergency exit doors will be open. The model may be clothed depending on the temperature of the room.

For detailed information concerning CCP’s efforts to keep members and artists safe in our studios, please visit CCP’s COVID webpage.
