In this online workshop, artists will be introduced to painting and printmaking using the ancient hot wax-based material Encaustic. Participants will explore the versatility of this quick-curing and re-workable medium can be to enhance their artistic practices. Day one, Leslie will introduce the materials used in this process, and day two will be all about applying them to printmaking process and techniques. In this demonstration based workshop, participants are urged to take notes and ask questions using Zoom’s chat feature.

LESLIE GIULIANI, originally from Philadelphia, PA, received her BFA in Fine Art from The University of Delaware, with further studies at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. Her work is represented in collections of the Housatonic Museum of Art, the State of CT and many private collections. She was the recipient of an Artist Fellowship Grant from the state of CT for Craft. She is a Core Support Instructor for R&F Handmade Paints. Giuliani lives and works in Weston, CT.
