New tools and technologies are coming out every day and digital imaging and printing are revolutionizing the way we make art. Come and explore some of these new tools and learn how they can be combined with traditional printmaking. This workshop will introduce some of the techniques from the book, Digital Art Studio, and will focus on creating non-traditional substrates to be incorporated with digital imagery. Participants will also get a chance to try out a variety of processes including bleed printing, printing on thin papers, and transfers to fresco and paper. Participants will be expected to have digital images prepared before the workshop so some digital imaging skills are required. Come and learn this new tool which will take your work into the 21st century.

Mary Taylor's training has come from years of daily immersion in the world of the Digital Atelier's Dorothy Krause, acting as her studio manager and assistant. She has been involved in the many phases of her very unique mixed media artwork. Not only working in the unique realm of the Digital Atelier, she has also worked with professional photographers, helping them step into digital processes. Mary's prints and artist's books have been exhibited in numerous shows. She will be featured in the HGTV show Crafters Coast to Coast and has been involved teaching the digital processes throughout the country. Mary is the proprietor of Taylor Art Tech, a digital support service specializing in assisting individuals to realize their creative goals through current technology solutions.

Christopher Shore received his MFA in printmaking from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. He has studied printmaking techniques in Venice and Florence, Italy and has shown his work internationally.
